We have been missionaries to Mexico since 1972; after working in 2 areas in central Mexico, we relocated to Tijuana, on the border with California, in 1980. We have been involved in the planting of 4 Independent Baptist churches in the Tijuana area. Having had some young men surrender to full time service in the first church we established here, in 1995 we obtained 5 acres of ground in the hills east of the city and established the Fundamental Baptist Bible Institute. At that time, there were only a few ranch houses in the area. Since then a new highway was built which passes by us, and the whole area has exploded in housing additions. We now have expanded to an 8 acre campus, which houses the institute, a church, a children's home and a christian school.The church has experienced phenomenal growth resulting from the dedicated lives of its members in winning souls.
